MEDIATION IN FAMILY LAW, DIVORCE, CUSTODYAttorney Tricia Dwyer is rated 'Superb' year after year
MEDIATION I plan to write details on the subject of MEDIATION IN FAMILY LAW in future posts (written on 11.14.22). REAL MEDIATION/TRANSFORMATIVE MEDIATION BASIC PRINCIPLES (Master Teacher Dan Simon of St. Paul, MN): I (the mediator) listen; I do not interrupt. I reflect back exactly what each said-no filtering but do take out hate, rage. Point: Each person hears themself, what they each said-the feeling is all is very real. I summarize, in order of what was discussed. I avoid asking any questions through the process. If I/we see a fork in the road, I may say, "What do you want to do?". "If you want, what would you like to talk about next?". |
